Kickboxing

Kickboxing is important for self defence confidence and self esteem.

It is a good way of releasing stress, getting fit, shedding body fat, toning up, improving balance, flexibility, coordination, speed and stamina and can burm up to 800 calories an hour. Kickboxing is the sport that I took up to lose 8 stone in body fat.

One-on-One kickboxing and Classes

One-on-one sessions are available at Fitness First in Uxbridge. In the warmer months I take sessions in the local park (Fasnidge) and if you are very local to Fitness First I would consider teaching you at home.

I am currently running 1 PKA class in West Drayton, however if you are looking for more regular training please look for more information on my fitness Blog. If you want to join the PKA you will need to join up with me but then you will be able to train in any of the other PKA classes that are local to you. My present class is for adults (16 +) and current students range from between 16-late 50′s. I cater for all fitness levels, in fact I assume that most people starting are unfit, inflexible and uncoordinated with no prior experience of Martial Arts (and if your lucky enough to be more advanced then this is great too). I also cater for people with health issues (providing you have clearance from your doctor to be able to participate in exercise) or injuries and ensure that you train in a safe environment that suits your needs. Your first class is free (click coupon link at the bottom of this page), all you need to bring is a bottle of water, towel and something comfy to wear. You’re never too old, and gender is irrelevant. I am planning to run other classes in the near future so if you feel your area would benefit from a mixed class or all female class please email me and pass on your interest.

Kickboxing classes have been cancelled at Fitness First in Uxbridge due to high demand for one to one sessions, however I hope to be running classes soon. These classes will not be PKA classes although the format of the class is similar. If you want to grade (take your belts) or spar (fight)you will have to join my PKA class and take your grading via that route or you can also learn to spar via one to one sessions, please talk to me if you are interested in this option.
